Bobbie Wood kept her horse, Candy, at the corral in Ghost Town. He played a role in the bank robbery. One of the robbers, Dick Edmonds, who later became a doctor, taught Bobbie how to care for her horse. The chimpanzee in Bobbie’s lap belonged to a lady who owned some of Storytown’s animals. He performed his roller-skating stint in Mother Goose Land. (Courtesy Bobbie Wages.)

Marshal Bill “Wild Windy” McKay rode into Ghost Town to uphold the law in 1957. McKay had performed with Roy Rogers and his Sons of the Pioneers Band. He not only saved Ghost Town from dastardly bandits but played guitar and sang cowboy songs in Dan McGrew’s Saloon. McKay deputized children four times a day and had them promise never to touch a real gun. (Courtesy Dean Color Photography.)
